Pingliang, in Northwest China's Gansu province, made an impressive appearance at the 32nd China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair in the provincial capital of Lanzhou from July 9 to 13.

As the fair's theme city, Pingliang showcased its abundant natural resources, industrial strengths and favourable business environment to guests from home and abroad, allowing the world to witness the city's boundless vitality and vast development potential.

Pingliang introduced a range of innovative exhibition displays. The Pingliang Pavilion foregrounds the "1+2+3+N" modern industrial system, showcasing over 160 types of local products across six major categories, including coal chemicals, Pingliang Red Cattle, Pingliang apples, traditional Chinese medicinal herbs and magnesium-based new materials.

The pavilion also featured immersive installations, AI-powered interactive experiences and live performances highlighting Kongtong martial arts, Taoist wellness culture, and local intangible cultural heritage

Other exhibition areas such as the Fashion Goods and Premium Export Products Zone, the "Gansu Flavors" Agricultural Products Pavilion and the Longjiu Wine Pavilion, also featured Pingliang's distinctive commodities, which proved popular with business delegates and consumers.

During the fair, Pingliang held the 2026 High-Quality Development and "6+2" Industrial Chain Investment Promotion Conference. This comprised three specialized promotion sessions focusing on energy and chemicals, modern agriculture, and emerging industries. Attendees enjoyed a performance of Pingliang's theme song Asking the Way and watched an investment promotion video, gaining a deeper introduction to Pingliang's Taoist culture and its dynamic industrial development.

Riding on the momentum of the Lanzhou trade fair, Pingliang presented its strengths, expanded opportunities for cooperation and embraced new prospects with an open and mutually beneficial approach.
